Not sure what the EPA would do to block that market. This leaking exhaust gas is enough to get diluted into the air or fuel to get the cooling effect from the temperature of combustion. Everyone has their own opinion about EGR valve and EGR DELETE, It is a good thing to keep EGR valve and clean it all times but for some people is better to remove EGR. I made the best of 62.4 mpg with a full exhaust upgrade from rawtex and a stage 2 Malone tune. The tune also was tweaked so the EGR could be removed, and no CEL. When my DPF goes I will look at the DPF/EGR & tune vs cost of straight up replacement.
I recommend a state one ecu tune and a dsg tune.
Most anytime I hear people complain about not getting the mileage results they would like, it's usually a pretty easy guess that they drive 90mph everywhere they go. That's my feedback. While true, it does wonders if you're okay with the extra warmup time... Engine breaths like 15% better. Big thanks to Gary. I’ve seen some websites based out of the UK that sell down pipes with fake DPFs to fool visual inspections. If it happens, it is not feasible to enforce at the individual level.
List of the Cons of EGR Delete Kits. Some of those automatics don’t hold up well under the extra power. This helps in maintaining the combustion temperature under 1500 degrees C so that nitrogen and oxygen do not react and form NOx. Immediately on first drive it was more responsive, the tacho sits on around 1500 rpm at 80km. It isn't the adblue that cuts the smell. Tales of slow warmup are overblown in my experience.
Highly Recommended!!! i've even heard people in Ontario, if they have a healthy car and a DPF delete, they can still pass the opacity test. You may want to read that if you haven't. If one deletes the EGR from an ALH engine, is it possible to "turn off" the EGR so as the ecm won't throw a code? I did a tune to my mk6 Golf TDI … But the hp/tq gain is where it makes the upgrade worthwhile, plus never have to worry about the emission stuff breaking. I’m dying to have this exact thing done on mine here in BC. I have yet to fuel up from the trip back but my readout shows 2 MPG higher then my previous tank readout.
Very professional from the front desk back.
My Hilux got 27hp and looks like use less fuel to run. No problem doing 65 mph in the right lane. Wouldn’t trust anyone else to touch my cars. anyone know if there is a list anywhere of provinces that do the actual probe test? An EGR delete is ILLEGAL in ALL 50 STATES. NOx is produced by the combustion of gases. My ute was in there for a major electrical issue which Gary and his team also fixed in great time with expertise and honesty. Now this winter I have added a Frostheater to help but even when I dont use it the car still warms up fairly quick. Some of it is just dust and this dust is carbon fuel that is not burnt. I certainly would let that stop you. We have a lot of open road here with very little traffic so I experimented with some 100kph to 140kph (60mph to 85mph) pulls. Well there is customs and if the problem is bad enough I am sure they will pass laws banning import of car parts. On the average I picked up about a 10% mpg gain. : Blocked EGR may result to trip engine light or emission control light on their dashboard. (car is bone stock btw). Re-mapped my 2.8L Turbo diesel 2016 model to amazing results. Also wondering what if any intake you have? In the mornings if I can keep it between 40-60 MPH (dictated by traffic flow) the MDF can show 51 by the time I stop. One thing that I did not know about before I bought a diesel car was the annoying DPF regens. When I did all the mods, I made thin block off plates from 1/16" aluminum and sandwiched them in between the EGR parts. So I'm going to throw out the obligatory "Emissions equipment removal is illegal" warning. My car has a DSG is bone stock and I drive 66 mile commute each day.
I have consistently maintained 41-44mpg avg with mixed driving every tank. This is caused due to high combustion temperatures on overheating. Gary know a lot about tuning and he can fix any problem. I read some fantastic MPG's here and wish I was in that range. Good service !
It's not going to rob or gain any mpg doing either delete … They have never checked for an EGR or CAT on my car. Then install it yourself or take it to a local garage and have it done. As long as it doesn't get too cold in the next couple months it shouldn't be a problem to wait it out. But it can be done - in the summer I consistently get 50+ mpg hwy if I keep it under 65 mph. But I'm torn between the security of the Dieselgate warranty and the allure of the better power/mileage/longevity of the tune. If you make it another 100,000 miles down the road and the DPF clogs on you, that's when I would look into other options such as deletes. The warmer the temperature is, the better the mileage. No soot at all.
Is there a vcds setting I can mess with?
15-20 more hp in the 90-110 kph range and stronger torque. Search on 2microns filter setup for your car. I did a tune to my mk6 Golf TDI on the ECU and DSG. I guess this means I interrupted a regen? MONDAY TO FRIDAY : : If the EGR is blocked, it results in a noticeable rise in the temperature of the engine.
I don’t want to try to make it something it’s not. https://www.facebook.com/darksidedevelopments/posts/fake-dpf-downpipes-now-availablefor-those-concerned-about-their-mot-when-removin/962408097110091/. Stalling: When the EGR … All vehicles are required to meet federal … EGR stands for Exhaust Gas Re-circulation and EGR system is the system that is used to reduce the emission of NOx.
Check out kerma tdi.
The guy failed me because he visually didn’t see a cat under the truck although technically it passed all their tests.

Car is so much more responsive. Apparently there's a tune you can get, if that's your thing, that will dial the EGR way back once the engine is warm. If and when you get a tune, just let them know it’s gone and they’ll tune it out for you. I also run with no cat, it gets installed for inspections, every two years and then removed again. Like you said, they do just plug into the obd2 port and check it.
It is second hand after about 500 kms it was very poor in the performance and drivability area took it back for warranty , they messed around with it was ok but in no time back to normal to the point my wife and daughter would not drive the car. I live in Kamloops, BC and I got the work done at http://fourfunction.ca/ in Kelowna. It sounds so nice, not too loud, no drone, and now I can really hear the turbo whistle at idle. When they need more money they will find a way to come after you, either the state and/or the federal government.
