I’ve bombed from 3,000 meters and been able to spot airfield buildings from a long way away – I should try higher up though. In game – it’s a great looking scene and this video does not do it justice. In DCS VR is a complete disadvantage. Although the following video is somewhat compromised by YouTube’s compression algorithm, I think it still illuminates the point and offers up superior spotting.

The team has really improved this nagging issue. This makes me hopeful that IL-2 will become viable for me in VR, at long last.

Any mention of the 9km bubble being expanded to support those in level bombers with being able to spot their ground targets while at altitude? Yea unfortunately this is VR's resolution and there's nothing you can do about it (my only turn off about IL-2 VR experience) , until we can get a better resolution this issue will be there, even Index with a slightly higher res won't change much, the technology is not there yet (in fact it is but their greed is too big for average customers so you'd pay 3k$ for it).
