There is just so much fishing you can get through on the Hawkesbury, from the freshwater catchment to the open ocean. This is a good central location to launch from to target the brackish reaches and it is only a short run to get out to the heads. It’s such a large area and one may be forgiven for not knowing where to start. There are multiple access points in the upper freshwater reaches to enjoy land-based fishing for carp and mullet.
